BTL Emsella Pelvic Floor Treatment in Islamabad

A fully clothed, non-invasive pelvic-floor stimulation option for selected bladder-control problems, integrated with assessment and rehabilitation.

A chair-based pelvic-floor muscle stimulation treatment

BTL Emsella uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology to stimulate pelvic-floor muscle contractions while the patient remains clothed. It may be considered for selected women or men with stress, urge or mixed urinary incontinence after the symptom pattern has been assessed.

Urine leakage can also relate to infection, prostate disease, medication, neurological conditions, prolapse, constipation or difficulty emptying the bladder. Emsella should not be used to bypass an appropriate medical evaluation.

Selection depends on the type of leakage

  • Leakage with coughing, laughing, lifting or exercise.
  • Urgency and difficulty reaching the toilet in time.
  • Mixed symptoms involving both stress and urgency patterns.
  • Pelvic-floor weakness after childbirth or selected pelvic procedures.

Pelvic pain, inability to relax the muscles or difficulty emptying may need a different programme from strengthening alone.

Emsella is one component, not the whole plan

Treatment may be combined with education, bladder training, fluid and bowel review, pelvic-floor exercise, breathing, functional strengthening and EMG biofeedback when appropriate.

Implanted electronic devices, pregnancy and other device-specific contraindications require screening. New blood in urine, fever, severe pelvic pain, inability to pass urine or new neurological loss needs medical assessment rather than routine chair treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Does Emsella work for every type of incontinence?

No. Results depend on the cause and symptom pattern. Assessment is needed because leakage can have muscular, bladder, prostate, neurological or other contributors.

Do patients remain clothed?

Yes. The treatment is non-invasive and is delivered while the patient sits on the chair fully clothed, subject to clothing and device instructions.

Does Emsella replace pelvic-floor exercises?

Not necessarily. Exercise, bladder training and functional rehabilitation may still be required to improve control in daily life.
